Spontaneous Creation: Where I find Tranquility and Harmony

"My Mother is a classical pianist. I slept in a room adjacent to her practice space. Music is in my blood. Music is a medium through which we intimately communicate feelings that cannot easily be put into words. Paintings are like that too. After Revisiting New York City this year I was full of emotion, wonderment, and excitement about the rhythm of that incredible place. After watching a New York documentary, featuring background tunes by Gershwin and Charlie Parker and other composers from the city, I had to paint from that music. This is new work and it feels very successful."
