The 2013 Aloft is superior example of the family's continued commitment to protecting and preserving the land. Arguably the best vintage in Napa Valley has seen in decades, the 2013 Aloft t holds true to vintage expectations. The aromatics and palate parallel each other with an intensity of ripe blueberry, blackberry, black currant and black cherry. The wine shows further complexity with diverse flavors of dark chocolate, clove, black pepper, leather, tobacco and cigar. About Alycia: It is no exaggeration to say Alycia Mondavi and her three sisters were introduced to the wine industry at birth: they were born into one of Napa Valley’s prominent wine families that has owned and operated C. Mondavi and Family since 1943. Just like her father and her sisters, Alycia received her first paycheck at age 10, working for $0.25 an hour as an apprentice doing odd jobs at the winery, from the laboratory to the hospitality center. In 2007 she graduated from the University of San Diego with a business degree in marketing and management and in 2008 she earned her paralegal certificate.

In 2012, she joined her sister, Riana, as a fourth-generation family member working for C. Mondavi & Family. Under her father's tutelage, Alycia worked as a marketing associate and managed the family’s high-end brand Aloft, a Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon made by Thomas Rivers Brown. First launched under the family’s portfolio, Alycia and her sisters acquired the Aloft brand January 2017. Alycia continues to manage the daily operations of Aloft with a goal to one day build the Aloft Winery. In addition to managing the daily operations of Aloft Wine, she also focuses on her joint-venture, Dark Matter Wines. Co-Owned with her three sisters, Alycia manages the brand as CEO and President. Alycia continues to remain a Brand Ambassador for C. Mondavi & Family to share the stories of the brands and her family’s legacy.
